Fresh from the Farm!

Buying local is all the rage. This year we are joining the celebration of local foods by expanding our offering of specialty gourmet foods to include a "country store" of products drawn from over 60 local farms. CISA (Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture) and the Franklin County Community Development Corporation are assisting us as part of Fostering the Arts a project promoting the creative industries of our regions funded by a Massachusetts Cultrual Council Adams Grant. For more information or questions about participating please contact Tim Neumann.

Local farmers or local specialty food vendors interested in applying for one of these FREE booths should contact us at the email below. Vendors should understand that although they will not be paying any fee to participate, their booths are not free. These booth spaces have been paid for by the grant and as such participation is limited. All vendors must meet the standard requirements for participation in the shows. For more information about participating as a vendor please contact us at info@deerfield-craft.org prior to June 7, 2010.

The Old Deerfield Craft Fairs are organized by the Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association which operates Memorial Hall Museum and the Indian House Memorial Children’s Museum, the PVMA library and the Deerfield Teachers’ Center in Old Deerfield, Massachusetts. The proceeds from all four craft fairs are used to help the many historical and educational programs of the non-profit membership association. Spring Sampler admission dollars make it possible for PVMA’s Deerfield Teachers’ Center to serve hundreds of teachers and thousands of students each year. http://deerfield.history.museum/dtc.
